Trauma therapy online in the UK

If past experiences still control how you feel, react, or connect with others, trauma-informed therapy can help you understand why — and begin to change it. Online sessions from anywhere in the UK.

Common signs that trauma may still be present

Trauma doesn't always look like what you'd expect. You might experience hypervigilance — always scanning for danger, even when you're safe. Or emotional shutdown — feeling numb, disconnected, or unable to cry. Relationship triggers can feel overwhelming: a partner's tone of voice, a moment of silence, or a perceived rejection can send your nervous system into overdrive.

Other signs include difficulty trusting others, nightmares or intrusive memories, chronic anxiety that doesn't seem to have a clear cause, and patterns of self-sabotage in work or relationships.

How trauma-informed therapy helps

Therapy provides a safe, consistent space to begin understanding the patterns your mind and body developed to survive difficult experiences. Together, we work on stabilisation — helping your nervous system feel safer. We explore the meaning of what happened, gently and at your pace. We build emotional regulation skills and healthier boundaries.

This isn't about reliving painful memories on demand. It's about developing a new relationship with your past so it no longer dictates your present.

What sessions are like

Sessions are 50 minutes, held online via a secure video platform. We meet weekly or fortnightly depending on what works for you. Everything discussed is confidential within the limits of safeguarding and the law.

You don't need a diagnosis to start. Many people come to therapy because something feels stuck, overwhelming, or repetitive — and that's enough.

Evidence-informed approach

My work is informed by trauma-focused therapeutic approaches recognised in UK clinical guidance, including relational and integrative psychotherapy. I draw on attachment theory, nervous system awareness, and person-centred principles to tailor support to each individual.
